Football is back and is full swing as we come up on week 3 of the NFL season. Another Patriots blowout, beating the Miami Dolphins 43-0, have them as early Superbowl favorites. The Falcons surprised everyone with a close win verse the the Eagles, 24-20 on sunday night. Though, quarterback Carson Wentz was missing his top 2 targets, DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery, he still could not get the win for the Eagles. In addition, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers took down the Vikings, 21-16. Rodgers was all business throwing for 209 yards and 2 touchdowns while, Kirk Cousins and his offense could not finish the job throwing 2 interceptions. The Packers could not have had a better start to the season, with a 2-0 record they are looking for a win versus the Broncos. Coming off an overtime loss to the Chargers, Frank Reich’s Colts finished the job, beating the divisional rival Tennessee Titans, in a nail-biter victory, 19-17. But the Colts have kicker situation with Adam Vinitari. The veteren kicker had another surprisingly horrible game. He missed 2 PAT’s and the week before he left 7 points with a missed extra point and 2 field goals. Vinitari has opened up about his struggles starting, “I’m going to work a lot this week to get those demons so I can go clear-headed, step on the field and just do my job,” Vinatieri said Tuesday. What we learned after week 2 is that the Patriots are at the top, followed by the Chiefs, Rams, and Cowboys. Saints would be a top team this year but with the tragic injury of Drew Brees (he could be out for 6 weeks) their season could be in jeopardy.
