Mass for the Feast Day of St. Jean de Brebeuf Gabby Smiley ‘20
October 24, 2019
Today marked our first All-School Mass of the school year for the Feast Day of St. Jean de Brebeuf. To celebrate such a momentous occasion, multiple Jesuits and administration for other Jesuit schools came to attend and partake in our mass today. Our homily was administered by Fr. Matt Spotts S.J., who was ordained this past summer and used to work at Brebeuf. He offered a moving and inspirational homily about his experience working on death row in California, applying the lessons he learned there to the life of St. Jean de Brebeuf. Our mass was concluded by a beautiful student reflection by senior Musa Ndhlovu, focused on loving yourself. This was a great beginning to our All-School masses, preparing the path for more amazing masses the rest of this year.
