After months of construction and waiting, the Aritzia store at the Keystone Fashion Mall has finally opened. The space of the store, where Restoration Hardware used to be, covers a large surface of the front of the mall. The construction of the store took about 8 months, but on December 14th, the doors were finally opened to the public. The real question is, has the Aritzia store fulfilled the hype? 

Aritzia is a women’s clothing store that was founded in 1984, but it did not take its claim to fame until a few years ago. Today, it is a popular store amongst Brebeuf girls. Items at Aritzia are perfect for basics—plain t-shirts, bodysuits, jeans, and more. The style of Aritzia items is a little more sophisticated. This is where the store’s clothing comes in handy for Brebeuf girls. On convocation dress days, an Aritzia outfit is the perfect attire. You can never go wrong with a classic pair of leather pants and a warm sweater!

One of Aritzia’s biggest sellers is its puffer coat: the Aritzia Super Puff. Just walking around the hallways of Brebeuf, you can spot multiple people wearing one of these coats. The Aritzia store came just in time, with winter approaching and hundreds of girls in need of a cute, stylish jacket. 

Senior Annika Sood stated, “Well, I went to [the Aritzia store] the first day it opened just because I wanted to look around, and I think I bought like three things. I literally wear my Super Puff every day. I love it so much and highly recommend it”. 

Although Aritzia has made great strides in the Keystone Mall, it does have its cons. Due to popular demand, there is often little variety in the sizes and colors of a particular clothing item. Just finding a small white T-shirt can be a struggle! In addition, Artizia is pricey. 

Sophomore Grace Sylvia claimed, “I went to find just a plain white sweater, and I found one that was so cute. It turned out to be two hundred eighty dollars. I could find the same thing for way cheaper anywhere else”. 

With its benefits and drawbacks, the question remains if Aritzia is worth the hype or not. Though expensive, and also in small stock, Aritzia provides great, up-scale fashion and is a fun shopping experience in general. It is worth the trip to the Keystone Mall, or even a browse on the online site!
