The fall sports season has begun and it is time to start celebrating the Class of 2025. Ten sports have begun their seasons, meaning senior nights are right around the corner. Continue reading to get all the information regarding who we are celebrating, when they are, and why you should attend.
First up, Girls Volleyball. Celebrating seniors Lexi Gin, Layla Boylen, Claire Sabo, and Mckenna Wilken, their senior night is on September 10th in the Main Gym. Senior night festivities start at 6:30 pm before they play Mount Vernon at 7:00 pm.
Lexi Gin ‘25 will be continuing her volleyball career at Penn State next semester. She says she has had “an exciting four years of volleyball at Brebeuf” and is excited to see what the program will accomplish in the future. When asked why people should come to her senior night, Gin responded, “Because we would love to have a good crowd of support on our senior night”. Come support the lady Braves on September 10th!
Next up, girls golf will be taking on the Zionsville Eagles on September 16th at The Golf Club of Indiana. They will be celebrating seniors Annie Baxter, Maci Huff, and Amelia Schamp.
Senior Annie Baxter said she is very excited for her senior night because her dad is caddying for her and hopes to see some Braves there to support! Show out in support of the Girls Golf team!
Girls soccer will be celebrating their senior night on September 12th playing Lawrence North. They will be celebrating Katie Snook, Lily Blackman, Elyse Barth, Katie Urick, Charlie Rudd, Josie Skinner, Leah Berg, Ella Miller, and Elena Geroulis with the game starting at 7.
When asked why she is excited for senior night, Katie Snook responded, “Our senior class is very close so I am very excited to celebrate each other and the 4 years we’ve spent together”.
Boys soccer will be celebrating their senior night on October 1st playing Park Tudor at 7:30. They will be celebrating seniors Cole Petterson, Colin Frantz, Alex Todd, Issac Eads, Sam Laforte-hubert, Luke Acosa, and Jacob Smucker. Show your appreciation for the Brebeuf soccer teams!!
Boys tennis will be celebrating Anthony Suscha, Ethan Birge, Will Hutchinson, Sam Rudasky, Owen Perry, Elijah VanSlambrook, Andrew O’brien, Avi Maun, and Harrison Pruitt on September 10th. They will play Roncalli at 5 pm, but remember to show up earlier for the senior night ceremony.
Anthony Suscha ‘25 says he is most excited to “watch Perry and Avi kill Roncalli at 2 dubs” on his senior night and hopes to see fans in the stands to support!
The football, cheerleading, and dance team will all be celebrating their senior night on Friday October 4th against Terre Haute South with kickoff at 7 pm. The football team will be celebrating a huge senior class: PJ Schafer, Maverick Geske, Jay Hmurovich, CJ Harris, Taylor Clark, Jaden Curtis, Evan Mathis, Finn Scroggins, Braylen Bowling, Cian Mcclamroch, Job Sevume, Cohan Sanders, Gus Gramelspacher, Trey Edwards, Teddy Coons, Emmet Carroll-Helvie, Steven Neese, Roman Kopel, Alex Todd, and manager Lily Medley.
The cheerleading team will celebrate seniors Nadia Lewis, Mckenzie Musgrove, Aubriana Lovelace, and Olivia Reynolds. And finally, the dance team will celebrate Kennadie Woods, Olivia Reynolds, Mckenzie Musgrove, Marissa Mencias, Nadia Lewis, Daisy Henein, Alyssa Henderson, Sloan Swenson.
Dancer and cheerleader, Nadia Lewis ‘25, says her favorite memory was her first cheer competition at Brebeuf because “it was something new and a really good bonding experience for the team”. She has loved her past few years with the dance and cheerleading teams and is sad that it is coming to an end.
Football player Jay Hmurovich ‘25 says he is super excited to “celebrate with his friends” and hopes the student section will be loud on their senior night! The theme is USA so make sure to go all out in red, white, and blue!
Girls and Boys Cross Country don’t have a concrete senior night but they hope to have a “senior celebration” sometime this season. The girls cross country team with be celebrating seniors Amelia Roberts, Anna Balaban, Audrey Hamilton, Audrey Edwards, Avery Fox, Bella Maurer, Cadel Easterday, Claudia Keller, Emily Garten, Ellie Wang, Eva Fetahagic, Iris Epstein, Kaitlin Pumper, Layla McCanna, Maya Stuart, Meaghan Keller, Megan Ragozinno, Meredith Hershberger, Molly Dolan, Samara Miernyk, Sophia Meier, and Vivian Moses. There will be more information once it is planned.
The boys cross country will be celebrating a much smaller class with seniors Ben Grimes, Eli Burrell, Harrison Pruitt, Jake Skinner, Max Adams, Robert Shaw, Sam Selzer, and Tristan Villavicencio.
Audrey Edwards ‘25 has been having a lot of fun her senior season and is super excited to celebrate her fellow runners. She says her favorite memories in her 4 years of running at Brebeuf are “Friday easy runs and pasta dinners”. Once they have more information the Cross Country teams would love to see you at their senior celebration!
