Who’s ready for a night of dressing up and dancing? Brebeuf’s Fall Ball is just around the corner, along with fun homecoming week festivities and here’s the scoop on what to expect!
Annually, Brebeuf has been hosting the school dance in the East Gym for many years now. The dress code is semi-formal. There is always live music—sometimes a student from our school is the DJ, which is awesome. The school supplies small drinks and snacks at tables within the gym. It’s a great time for you to go out with your friends and have fun.
According to Sophomore Student Council Member Avery Snook ‘27, “the date of the event is on the night of September 28th, and the doors will open at 8pm and close at 10pm.” The Sophomore Student Council also has chosen this year’s theme for the dance as the Red Carpet! Snook also reports that the tickets for this year’s dance are $12 a student and all are welcome to bring guests from other schools as long as you fill in a guest form.
Another aspect of Brebeuf’s homecoming is the daily themes and pep rallies the week before the dance. During homecoming week, everyday there is a special theme to dress up to. Some examples of previous dress up themes include pajama day, country vs preppy, tropical, decades themes, class colors. The pep rallies are also super exhilarating with fun games everyday. The tricycle race is one of the best games we perform because the environment is packed with screams and laughter as the racers speed through the cones in the gym. The whole week is overall super fun and one of the best times of the year.
The football game at the end of the week is always the most riveting experience. All the school spirit shown throughout the week with the themes and pep rallies pumps up the excitement for the homecoming football game. This year, Brebeuf will be playing Roncalli at home, so make sure to bring your school spirit and show out in the stands! The theme is usually a gold rush, so make sure you bring your best gold attire as well.
We are looking forward to this year’s homecoming week! The football game, school pep rallies, and dress up days are extremely exciting and most importantly, they bring our community together as one. Make sure you contribute to these fun events and get your ticket early for the dance!
